About Dilly Dilly
We opened Dilly Dilly in June 2004. It is very much a family affair with grandma, dad (accountant) daughters Jilly and Clare and myself, Christine, having a hand in all areas of the business. We very much wanted an English theme as we are in the centre of an ancient English village.

We spent many hours over the dinner table tossing ideas about and making extensive lists for possible names. Dilly Dilly comes from Lavenders blue Dilly Dilly, Lavenders green, the old English rhyme. We have a good village community in Warkworth and some super shops including a lovely gallery next door. It was important to us to find a gap in the market and to fill it with carefully chosen pieces for the home and for gift giving. My girls tell me I am very English, what else could I be? having been born and bred here, but this idea gave me the shape of the business and how it should look and feel. We are delighted to sell from makers all over the British Isles and endeavour to source interesting, useful items to please our local customers and visitors to the village. We hope they will please you too. Happy browsing!
